Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
Kronive is a production prop and set management app designed for film and television crews. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our App.
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at kroniveapp@gmail.com.
2. What We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to operate the App:
| Category | Examples | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Account information | Email address, encrypted password | Creating and authenticating your account |
| Production data | Project names, scene names, prop records, notes | Core App functionality — organizing your production assets |
| Photographs | Prop photos taken in-app or selected from your gallery | Documenting props; AI-assisted auto-description |
| Device information | Device type, OS version, app version | Bug diagnosis and compatibility |
| Usage information | Feature interactions, sync activity | Improving the App |
We do not collect location data, contact lists, or any information not listed above. Camera and photo library access is only used when you explicitly trigger a capture or import action within the App.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide, maintain, and improve the App's features
- To authenticate your account and keep your session secure
- To sync your production data across devices
- To enable AI-assisted prop description (processed via Google Gemini — see Section 5)
- To send transactional emails such as password reset and, where available, account-deletion notices
- To diagnose bugs and crashes
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to any third party.
4. Account Deletion and Data Retention
Account deletion is scheduled after a 7-day grace period. Signing in does not cancel it — use the explicit Cancel Deletion action in the App or on the account-deletion page before the period ends.
When you request account deletion:
- A 7-day grace period begins once the request is accepted
- We may attempt to notify you at your registered email address; the deletion status shown in the App or on the account-deletion page is the authoritative record
- You can cancel the deletion at any time during the grace period using the explicit Cancel Deletion action
- After 7 days, your account and the personal-only data associated with it — projects that were never shared, their scenes, props, and photos — are permanently deleted
Some requests cannot be accepted immediately:
- If you own a project that is, or may have been, shared with other people, or that carries unresolved billing, deletion is blocked rather than started. You will be asked to transfer ownership of that project to an accepted project member (or resolve billing) before your account can be deleted.
- If a blocker appears during the grace period, your request moves to an action-required state that pauses finalization. You may cancel, resolve the blocker, or resume; resuming starts a fresh 7-day grace period.
- If a finalization attempt fails transiently, we retry automatically for a bounded period. If it cannot complete, it stops for a human support review instead of proceeding.
If you were a member of, or contributed to, a shared project, your personal identity is removed but the shared production history is retained for the remaining team members. Records you contributed to are pseudonymized (your identifier is redacted from stored event metadata); they are not deleted, because doing so would destroy records other people rely on.
After finalization, we retain a pseudonymous cryptographic hash of your user identifier for deletion-lifecycle audit purposes. This hash is not used to re-identify you or to access any of your data.
We also retain your signup Terms and Privacy acceptance record — the accepted versions, acceptance method, timestamp, and a pseudonymous account hash, with your direct account reference removed — as proof of the agreement for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. The retention period for this record is set by legal review; it is never used for product identity, analytics, or re-identification.
Requesting account deletion does not by itself cancel any active paid subscription. Billing is handled separately through the platform you subscribed on; cancel your subscription there to stop future charges.
5. Third-Party Services
Kronive uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Supabase — Database, authentication, and file storage. Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
- Google Gemini AI — Used for AI-assisted prop description when you trigger the feature. Photos sent for analysis are not used to train Google's AI models under our API agreement. See Google's Privacy Policy.
No other third-party services receive your production data or personal information.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest
- Authentication tokens stored in secure, encrypted device storage (not accessible to other apps)
- Row-level security policies ensuring users can only access their own data
- Service-role mediation for all privileged database operations — no direct client database writes
No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we use commercially reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Erasure: Request deletion of your account and data (subject to the 7-day grace period described above)
- Portability: Request your data in a portable format
- Objection: Object to certain processing of your data
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at kroniveapp@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
Kronive is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 16 without parental consent, we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify you via email or an in-app notice for material changes. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
